Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) is a joint initiative between Lakme, the leading cosmetics brand and a pillar of the fashion industry in India, and IMG, the global leader in fashion weeks and event production. New initiatives like 'Emerging Designer Category' and 'GenNext' will be unveiled for the first time in India at the inaugural Lakme Fashion Week 2006 with an aim to provide a platform for promising young talent to establish themselves across India.  INTRODUCING for the first time ...a training school for ramp walking ..!!! We are  starting with an institute- WALK-THE-RAMP - for all those aspiring young girls and guys whose dream has always been to be a part of the glamarous fashion shows...
We have professional models as teachers who have been connected with famous fashion shows and have helped alot of famous designers to get their act right on the ramp.
We have two special courses designed for the students:-
1)One-Year Diploma :- This one year diploma course teaches the students all the basics which are required to be a successful model.Basics such as the right posture, the right diet, fashion sense are instilled amongst the students. The students will get internmships assistants in local fashion showsor behind the curtain roles.If exceptional abilities are found in the student he/she can be directly assisted by the designers in their fashion shows.
2)One-Year Advanced Diploma :- This course can be taken up by only those students who have completed the one-year diploma.This course will teach the students all the qiualities which are required to become an international model. The teachers will take pofessional care and there will be practical based projects to perform.
 Fashion shows today require a high degree of co-ordination and precision. With our highly skilled professional teachers we deliver the best to the students to meet the requirements of the ace designers.
  Certificates will be granted to all the students from WALK-THE-RAMP which is an authorized institute with the National Modelling Agency.
