- The
dream of being a jeweler came to me as soon as I started to recognize
what jewelry is. My father Chandrakumar.R.Jhaveri, an extremely well
reputed valuer and manufacturer of jewelry, used to take me to his work
place.That's when I started to idolize him and dreamt of being a jeweler
. In September 1995, as soon as I graduated , I joined the Indo-American
society to learn Diamond Grading.That's when I first learnt to hold
a diamond and appreciate its inner beauty. After I completed my 12th
, I started attending the office of Mr.Yakin.B.Zaveri, a close friend
of my father, to learn diamond assortment & jewelry making. I learnt
the business in depth for two years, after which I started handling
customers and making jewelry for them. As one says, nothing can beat
practical knowledge when it comes to jewelry. In the year 1999-2000,
I started my own business under the guidance of my mentor, Mr.Y.B.Zaveri.
I valued & made customized jewelry for a number of prestigious people.
I then felt the need to give my clients more specialized service, and
so in July-September 2000, I went to study Jewelry Designing and Diamond
Grading at the Gemological Institute of America
(G.I.A), California.Today I am completely
confident about my designs & my work, & hope to give my clients
exclusive custom-made jewelry and excellent workmanship. I'm now ready
to take over this field of glitter and gold, because as they say, "Diamonds
Are a Girl's Best Friend!"
