GIGGS
ON HIS SEVENTH MEDAL
Three was certainly the magic number for Ryan Giggs on Easter Saturday. His
looping header past Coventry goalkeeper Chris Kirkland was United's
third goal of the afternoon, and the one which effectively won three
points and a third consecutive
title for the Reds."The thought of doing it three years running
was always going to be something extra special," said Ryan,
who has now won the League Championship seven times."Your first
title as a player has to be pretty special, but it still feels brilliant
to win it now. |

"People
sometimes forget how hard it is to achieve,so you don't lose that
fantastic feeling when you do it again."As with several other
of Ryan's titles, the Reds were not actually playing at the precise
moment
the title was won. And perhaps that said as much about the weaknesses
of their rivals as it did about their own strengths."Liverpool
and Arsenal are our main rivals,
and the difference between us winning the league and those
two missing out is that we haven't dropped so many points away
from home," assessed Ryan.Ryan Giggs was quoted in the Sunday
Express. |
